Biomedical Information Retrieval  covers main aspects of searching the biomedical resources available over the Net. With so much information available it becomes essential for the medical professionals /researchers/ librarians to have the skills to be able to retrieve specific and relevant information.  Skills in efficient information retrieval techniques would also save the "online" time and help in getting precise and accurate information.  The training would enable the participants to effectively search for biomedical information available over the Internet.

This programme covers various aspects of biomedical resources, search techniques with searching IndMED, medIND, Union Catalogue of Biomedical Periodicals and NLM databases.  Participants can also search the other resources during the practice sessions and improve on their information retrieval techniques.
